2.88ct Tanzanite and 0.74ctw Diamond 14K White Gold Ring

One electronically tested 14KT white gold ladies cast & assembled tanzanite and diamond ring. The featured tanzanite is set within a diamond bezel between mirroring diamond galleries, supported by a lattice under the gallery and diamond set shoulders, completed by a three-millimetre wide band. Bright polish finish. Identified with markings of "14K". Condition is new, good workmanship.

Containing: One prong set oval modified brilliant cut natural tanzanite, measuring 10.00 x 7.00 x 5.80mm, exact weight 2.88ct., clarity is eye clean, type I, medium dark, very slightly greyish, bluish violet colour, (GIA bV 6/3), cut is good. Transmitting light with no distortion, transparent. Graded in the setting. Tanzanite is a very rare gemstone that is only found in Tanzania.

Initially discovered in 1967. Tiffany & Company named the stone Tanzanite. It is found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. Tanzanite occurs in grey, brown, violet, blue, reddish-purple, & green. The gem is fascinating because of its exceptional pleochroism. Rotated in different directions a tanzanite will exhibit multiple changes of color. Tanzanite has a low tolerance to ultrasonic cleaning, and should not be cleaned using this method. Seventy-two prong set round brilliant cut diamonds exact total weight 72 Stones = 0.74ct. Graded in the setting.
