Overview
A 1998 Ford Falcon sedan presented as a race-prepared vehicle in black with Ballistic Diamond Tools and Ramstop sponsor livery and the competition number 31. The vehicle is fitted with a 347 cubic inch V8 engine and a manual transmission. An XR8 badge is visible on the boot lid.
The interior has been stripped for competition use and is fitted with a Cobra Evolution Pro-Fit bucket seat with a multi-point harness, a full multi-point roll cage, a Sparco gear knob on a floor-mounted manual shifter, and a flat-bottom aftermarket steering wheel with red stitching. The factory instrument cluster has been replaced with a carbon fibre panel housing SAAS gauges including a tachometer, and a separate carbon fibre centre panel with aftermarket voltage, fuel level and oil pressure gauges, a fuel pump switch, a temperature switch and an engine start button. An AEM air-fuel ratio gauge is mounted on the dashboard. The floor is fitted with aluminium checker plate in the footwells. Aluminium door cards are fitted to the driver side door. A window net is fitted to the driver side. A battery is mounted in the rear cabin area and secured with a strap. The boot area contains a fuel surge tank, an external fuel pump and ignition coils.
Condition
The exterior is finished in matte black with sponsor decals across multiple panels. The front bumper bar shows scuffing, scratches and cracking along the lower edge. The bonnet scoop has surface marks. The front passenger headlight lens appears clouded. The rear bumper bar shows scuffing. Paint chips and stone chips are visible across multiple panels. The boot lid has surface marks. The widebody flares show edge scuffing on the driver side front guard. The headlight surrounds on the passenger side are open with no lens fitted.
The engine bay houses a V8 engine with a large round open-element air filter, finned aluminium rocker covers, and aftermarket ignition leads. A Billet-style oil filler cap and a blue T-handle oil dipstick are visible. The coolant overflow bottle contains fluid.
The interior is stripped to bare metal in the rear, with the roll cage welded in. The Cobra bucket seat shows wear on the bolster fabric. The aluminium checker plate flooring shows marks and wear. The dashboard retains its original moulding but all factory centre stack components have been removed and replaced with the aftermarket gauge and switch panel.
White five-spoke alloy wheels are fitted with semi-slick tyres. Red brake calipers are visible behind the wheels.
A large aftermarket rear wing is mounted on the boot lid. Aftermarket widebody flares are fitted to all four guards. An aftermarket front splitter extends below the front bumper bar.
