A Decorative Ceramic Vase Featuring An Elaborate Reticulated (Pierced) Design Of Cherry Blossom Flowers With Painted Bird Figures Set Amongst The Blossoms. The Vase Has A Baluster Form With A Blue-Glazed Rim And Two Moulded Lion-Dog (Foo Dog) Mask Handles In A Matching Blue Glaze On Either Side Of The Shoulder. The Body Is Composed Of Individually Formed White Ceramic Flower Petals With Pink-Purple Centres, Connected By Brown Branch-Like Elements, Creating An Openwork Lattice Effect. Colourful Painted Birds In Blue, Pink, Yellow And Purple Are Positioned Throughout The Design. An Electrical Cord With An Australian Two-Pin Plug Extends From The Base, Indicating The Vase Has Been Fitted As A Lamp. Refer To Images.
