2004 Jayco Freedom Expanda Pop Top - White - Single Axle
Overview
This is a 2004 Jayco Freedom Expanda pop top with aluminium cladding on a single-axle galvanised chassis. The front section features a fold-out expanda bed section with canvas sides and mesh insect screens. A ball coupling with safety chain is fitted to the drawbar. The chassis rides on leaf spring suspension. Gas bottle holders and a water filler are located on the drawbar. A jockey wheel and twin stabiliser legs are fitted.
Inside, the layout comprises an L-shaped lounge and dinette at the front that converts to a bed, with a fold-down upper bunk above. The kitchen runs along the offside wall and includes a Stoves NewHome four-burner gas cooktop with oven and grill, a Dometic three-way fridge, a stainless steel sink with drainer, and a microwave in an overhead cabinet. A Heron 2.2 air conditioner is wall-mounted above the kitchen bench. A flat-screen TV on a swivel bracket is fitted to the kitchen splashback area. Overhead cabinetry and a mirrored wardrobe provide storage. A fire extinguisher is mounted inside the entry door. A stereo head unit is fitted to the front lounge cabinetry. A spare wheel is stored inside the van at the front lounge area.
Condition
The exterior aluminium cladding is in fair condition with general age-related wear. The front expanda canvas shows staining across the fabric. The decal stripes on the rear offside lower body are peeling. The lower front wall cladding shows scuffing and wear, and the front wall edges have paint chipping. The drawbar and A-frame are galvanised and present in serviceable condition. The leaf spring suspension and chassis show surface grime and age-related patina visible from underneath.
Inside, the upholstery cushion edges show wear and staining. The cabinetry edge near the entry door has peeling laminate. The Dometic fridge door panel shows wear marks and peeling of the timber-look finish. The kitchen backsplash tiles above the cooktop area show peeling in one section. The ceiling lining appears intact. The vinyl floor tiles show general wear. The timber cabinetry throughout shows age-related patina.
