1980 Haines Hunter 445C Half Cabin Boat with Yamaha 70HP Outboard on J.V. Marine Trailer
Overview
A Haines Hunter 445C half cabin fibreglass boat in white and blue, fitted with a Yamaha 70HP outboard motor. Trailer VIN: R1810R134883. The boat is presented on a galvanised single-axle J.V. Marine roller trailer with a jockey wheel and winch.
The helm features a stainless steel steering wheel, a tachometer (RPM x100) and a speedometer (MPH/km/h). A Haines Hunter 445C labelled switch panel is fitted to the right of the steering wheel with switches for nav lights, anchor light, cabin light, rear light, deck lights, underwater lights, deck wash and bilge pump. A Yamaha 703 remote control throttle and shift lever is mounted on the starboard gunwale. A Global Marine Australia waterproof circuit breaker panel is fitted to the left of the steering wheel. A 12V marine power socket is fitted to the dash. A GME marine radio or speaker unit is mounted on the port interior panel. A portable red fuel tank is visible in the cockpit. The bow features an electric anchor winch with rope and chain on a stainless steel drum, and a galvanised anchor in a bow roller. Stainless steel bow rails and a rear boarding platform with stainless steel grab rails are fitted. The transom has stainless steel rod holders mounted on each side. The vessel capacity plate reads maximum capacity 5 persons in calm waters only (MSB Waterways). The cockpit floor and interior surfaces are finished in a grey non-skid coating. An empty bracket is visible on the dash where an electronics unit has been removed.
Condition
The hull gelcoat shows general age-related wear. There is paint chipping and scuffing along the blue waterline stripe on the port side. The transom shows scuffs and marks on the lower cream section. The windscreen appears intact with a tinted acrylic screen and a fabric canopy over the cockpit area. The cockpit non-skid surfaces show general wear and staining. A crack is visible in the fibreglass dash surround to the left of the tachometer.
The Yamaha 70HP outboard cowling shows scuffs and marks. The lower unit shows wear and the propeller shows surface wear. The engine block with cowling removed shows three spark plug leads visible on each side. An oil reservoir tank is visible.
The J.V. Marine galvanised trailer shows corrosion on the drawbar and on the roller cradle cross members. The coupling shows surface rust. The alloy wheels are fitted with tyres that show remaining tread. The trailer has LED tail lights, galvanised mudguards with chequer plate steps, and blue and black keel rollers.
