Overview

A 1999 Bayliner 2655 Ciera cabin cruiser with a fibreglass mono hull measuring 27 feet in length with a beam of approximately 9.9 feet. Power is provided by a single MerCruiser MCM 5.0 Litre inboard petrol engine with Thunderbolt 5 ignition, driving through a stern drive unit. The Faria hour meter reads 710 hours.

Hull

The hull is fibreglass construction finished in white. The topsides present with general age-related marks. The hull bottom shows heavy marine growth, barnacle accumulation and deteriorated antifoul coating, visible with the vessel on the hardstand. The transom carries the stamped HIN USCC47SBB898. The swim platform is fitted with a stainless steel boarding ladder. Bow rails and stern rails are stainless steel. A rub rail runs along the hull sides. The windscreen is fitted with a single wiper arm.

Motor

The engine bay houses a single MerCruiser MCM 5.0 Litre petrol inboard with Thunderbolt 5 ignition. The air cleaner cover is marked "5.0 Litre Thunderbolt 5 Ignition merCruiser". The engine specification plate on the air cleaner cover states Model MCM 5.0 Litre, displacement 305 CID, engine serial number 0L059019, transom serial number 2A492147 and drive serial number 0L121405. A power steering reservoir is visible in the engine bay. The Faria elapsed time hour meter reads 0710.0 hours. The stern drive unit and propeller show heavy marine growth and corrosion throughout the leg, gimbal housing and propeller surfaces. The propeller is a three-blade unit.

Electronics and Deck

The helm features a woodgrain-effect instrument panel with analogue gauges including speedometer, tachometer, voltmeter, fuel gauge and trim gauge. A tab indicator gauge labelled "N&M 2001" is fitted below the main instrument cluster. A Garmin chartplotter or sounder unit is mounted to the right of the helm. The lower dash panel carries labelled toggle switches for blower, deck lights, head light and additional deck lights. A compass is mounted to the port side of the helm binnacle. The steering wheel is a cream-coloured three-spoke design. A single-lever throttle and shift control is fitted to the starboard side.

The cockpit features a reversible helm seat with Ciera branding, an L-shaped lounge to port and a forward-facing bench seat aft. The upholstery is cream vinyl with navy piping, showing light soiling. The cockpit sole is covered in navy marine carpet. A navy bimini top is fitted on stainless steel framework with clear plastic side curtains. A solar panel is fitted on the cabin roof forward of the windscreen. An anchor windlass is visible at the bow with fenders secured to the bow rail.

Below deck, the main cabin features a V-berth forward that converts to a double berth with cream upholstery. A red safety equipment bag is stowed at the forward end of the V-berth. Speakers are fitted in the headliner above the V-berth. The galley is located to port and includes a stainless steel sink with mixer tap, a two-burner gas cooktop with glass cover, a microwave oven and a stereo head unit mounted above. Storage is provided by cabinetry with timber trim below the galley bench. A small fridge is fitted into the bulkhead adjacent to the companionway steps. A flat-screen television is wall-mounted on the port side aft bulkhead. The cabin headliner shows staining near the forward hatch area. The cabin carpet throughout shows staining and wear.

The aft cabin is accessed through a doorway and contains a berth with a mattress. The mattress shows wear and soiling. The cabin walls are carpet-lined. A 12-volt distribution panel is mounted on the bulkhead above the aft berth.

The head compartment contains an electric toilet with flush control panel, a vanity basin with mirror, a shower fitting and an opening porthole for ventilation.
