Overview
The Z32-generation Nissan 300ZX is having a moment. Values have been climbing steadily since 2022 as buyers recognise what automotive historians have known for years: this was Nissan's genuine supercar, a machine that could embarrass Italian exotics at the time of its release and still turns heads thirty years later. This 1993 example is the GCZ32 chassis variant, the 2+2 four-seat T-Top body that was the standard Australian-market configuration. It carries the VG30DETT twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 under that distinctive bonnet, mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive, and it has been meaningfully upgraded by a previous owner who knew what they were doing.
The engine bay tells a clear story. The VG30DETT wears an aftermarket gold Nissan cam cover and is dressed throughout in Z1 Motorsports branded components including a billet catch can and polished aluminium intercooler piping with red silicone couplers. The cooling system received a full rebuild in September 2021: water pump, high-flow thermostat, timing belt, coolant flush, and road test, all documented on a tax invoice. In October 2025, the automatic transmission was reconditioned by RVO Performance and Automatics Pty Ltd in Dandenong, with an H/Duty RE4R03A unit, reconditioned H/Duty torque converter, new planetary set-up, and a 12-month warranty, representing a $4,300 investment. This is a mechanically sorted car.
The exterior presents well in Super Red (colour code AJ4 as stamped on the build plate), with the factory widebody body kit and rear spoiler adding aggression to those legendary Z32 lines. The T-top glass roof panels are present and fitted, and the overall body is straight with consistent panel gaps. The G-MAX 3-piece split-rim alloys fill the guards nicely on aftermarket suspension, and the yellow Nissan brake calipers are visible through the spokes. Inside, a Momo leather steering wheel sits in front of white-face R-spec gauges reading to 300km/h. Bride seats were fitted at some point. An aftermarket Android head unit handles audio. The dash is covered with a fitted dash mat. The original cloth seats have been retained in place of the Bride units based on photos, and both present in honest, usable condition.
Compliance was handled by ZX Performance Pty Ltd in August 1999, Category MA low-volume. VIN and compliance plates are both present and clear. Two keys plus remotes are included.
