Bases show grime and minor staining; iron-red seal marks remain legible. No visible cracks or major structural damage observed.

A fine pair of Chinese porcelain hexagonal baluster vases in the Famille Noire (black ground) palette. Each vase has a flared hexagonal mouth, concave-waisted neck, shouldered body, and hexagonal foot ring. The decoration is consistent across both vases and includes: large pink chrysanthemum/dahlia blooms on the neck panels; pink peony sprays with green foliage on the main body faces; teal/green scrolling lotus and arabesque borders at the neck-to-shoulder transition; and teal/green foliate scrollwork at the foot. All elements are painted on a rich black ground with iron-oxide red accent lines at the collar and foot transitions.

The base of each vase carries an iron-red rectangular seal mark (chop mark) in archaic seal script, likely reading as an earlier dynastic reign mark (such as Qianlong). This use of an earlier reign mark on later wares was standard practice and does not affect date attribution, which is assessed on stylistic, potting, and decorative evidence as late 19th century (Guangxu or similar period) or Republic-period production. The vases are a matched pair with consistent decoration, potting, and quality. Dimensions are approximate and should be confirmed prior to bidding. Buyers should conduct their own research and inspection regarding period, attribution, and condition.
