This great wine was developed by Max Schubert with the 1951 vintage, made from low-yielding vines grown at selected vineyards in South Australia and other regions. The wine is aged in new American oak hogsheads prior to bottling. An extensive tour of Europe in 1950 saw Max Schubert observe winemaking practices that have now become an integral part of Grange production. The development of Grange represented a new era in Australia's red winemaking tradition, combined with Max Schubert's foresight. Still acknowledged to be among the world's classic wines.Storage & ProvenanceLot sourced from private cellar collection. Bottles have been stored in temperature-controlled conditions.
