About This Car

The VE Series II SS-V represents the last of the proper Australian V8 performance sedans. Built on the Zeta platform, it shipped from the Elizabeth factory with a 6.0-litre V8 (build plate: L77, with Active Fuel Management), a Hydra-Matic 6-speed automatic, and FE2 sports suspension. This particular car has had every major performance system upgraded with quality parts, receipts intact, and a proper dyno tune to back it all up.



The engine build is the headline act. After an oil pump failure prompted a full freshen, the motor was rebuilt in August 2025 with a Crowcams 871250 camshaft, Crowcams double valve spring kit, GM LS7 lifter kit, billet 7.425-inch pushrods, GM hi-pressure oil pump with billet girdle, Crowcams billet timing chain set, full bottom end rebuild including main and big end bearings, piston rings, cam bearings, cylinder head service, deck block, and hone bores. The car was then fitted with a Walkinshaw high-flow air intake, Hurricane 4-into-1 1.78-inch headers, stainless hi-flow cats, 3-inch X-pipe, and chrome-tipped mufflers. A custom remap and dyno tune was completed at JW Racing using a Dyno Dynamics unit, resulting in a verified 451.9hp output, up from the stock 295.5hp. That is a 53 percent increase, all done on a naturally aspirated 6.0-litre.



Braking has been upgraded to match. The car runs Alcon CAR97 6-piston calipers front and rear with Ferodo DS performance pads, Forza flat disc rotors (378x32mm), and custom hats to suit the VE-VF platform. The rear axle has been swapped for a brand new Holden HSV VE V8 3.45 limited slip differential assembly (receipted at $2,980 delivered). Pro Drag Forged Series 5-spoke alloys are fitted with white-letter Pro Drag tyres all around.

Condition Notes

* Teal metallic wrap presents with minor stone chip lift and surface marks in places, most notably on the bonnet and lower rear panels. No major tears or delamination. A close-up photo of the most affected area is included in the listing.

* Interior leather presents with honest wear on seat bolsters and bases consistent with 176,927 kilometres. No tears or significant damage sighted.

* Alloy wheels show light marks on the outer lips consistent with use.

* Engine rebuild completed August 2025 following an oil pump failure that caused bearing starvation. Full receipts for the rebuild are included.
