Continental, Walnut Tall Standing Buffet Cabinet. Heavy moulded overhanging cornice top with dentilated rail beneath. Three panelled frieze depicting swags at either side of a central panel incorporating cornucopia and foliate carvings. Three cupboard doors beneath, the centre door having a large demon mask carved in relief surrounded by bas relief florals and foliage to form a cartouche. Small corner spandrels in relief. Two lozenge shaped relief carvings to the outer doors. Double turned flute pillars form the exterior of the upper part and two flat classical style reeded pilasters flank the centre door. The open top to the base part consists of a moulded waist board, a three panel back with a small balustrade of shamrocks. This top section supported on two turned pillars on triple stepped plinth bases. Two half drawers to the apron and two circular panelled doors to the lower part flanked by heavy turned reeded pillars and a central pilater. A heavy moulded base rail forms a plinth raised on turned bun shaped corner feet. Original brass drop handles to drawers. Width: 174 cm.
