"Le Chapeau Epingle" (The Pinned Hat) is a known Renoir etching subject depicting young women in the act of pinning a decorative hat - a gentle, domestic scene entirely characteristic of Renoir's Impressionist sensibility and his love of capturing women in unguarded moments. The print is small in size but displayed with great presence within its large ornate gilt frame and generous white mat.
