A small subsidiary figure (possibly a hanging figure on a gibbet, a motif known in Cezanne's early graphic work) appears in the upper left corner. Cezanne made very few etchings in his lifetime - his known plates are a small and documented group. The COA issued by Independent Auctioneers (NSW) states this was "produced from the original etching plate." Buyers are encouraged to conduct independent research into the print's impression history and provenance beyond the current COA. Presented in an ornate gilt frame with generous double cream mat.

Artist attributed: Paul Cezanne (1839-1906)
Title: Portrait of Guillaumin
Medium: Etching on paper
Date: c. 1873
COA: Yes - Independent Auctioneers, Rozelle NSW, authenticated by Justin Turner (AVAA No. 103), dated 24/06/2008
Frame: Ornate carved gilt, double cream mat, glazed 221830+1
