Coalport fine bone china commemorative plate from the "Last Days of Steam" collection, featuring locomotive 30850 Lord Nelson. The plate depicts the Southern Railway engine in dynamic motion, billowing steam through a cutting with period railway infrastructure visible. Number 1435 from a limited edition of 2,500, produced in 1992. The reverse bears maker's marks and historical information detailing that the Lord Nelson was built at Eastleigh in 1926 and withdrawn by British Railways in 1962. Designed by Barry G. Price. Includes original certificate of authenticity signed by Kneale H. Ashwell, Chairman and Chief Executive. The plate features a gilt rim and measures approximately 27cm in diameter.
