Exceptional Art Nouveau ceramic vessel featuring a distinctive anthropomorphic design with stylized facial features. The piece displays a bulbous, gourd-like form with a scalloped rim. The glaze exhibits a sophisticated color gradient transitioning from deep burgundy and terracotta tones at the crown through warm amber and golden yellows to soft sage green at the base. The surface is decorated with relief-molded botanical motifs, including radiating leaf patterns and curved linear elements that frame the prominent almond-shaped eyes. The interior reveals a warm terracotta glaze. The base bears an impressed maker's mark. This appears to be a Continental European production, likely French or Belgian, from the early 20th century. The piece demonstrates masterful glazing technique with excellent color saturation and depth. Stamp indicates “ Ault Pottery” hallmark estimated between late 19th and early 20th century.
