The 2023 Royal Australian Mint $2 Vegemite Centenary coloured coin, celebrating 100 years of Australia's iconic Vegemite spread (1923-2023). This coin was released into general circulation and quickly became a sought-after collector piece.



The design features the signature Vegemite black colour band around the inner ring, with a ridged/textured pattern mimicking the Vegemite jar lid. The outer gold ring is inscribed "VEGEMITE CENTENARY" above and "TASTES LIKE AUSTRALIA" below. The central gold disc depicts a knife spreading Vegemite on toast, flanked by the dates "1923" and "2023." The obverse carries the standard Jody Clark portrait of Elizabeth II.
