Description
Hitachi's ZX135US-3 is a 13.5 tonne zero tail swing excavator from the proven ZAXIS-3 generation. The zero tail swing design means the counterweight does not extend beyond the track width during slew, making it ideal for working in confined spaces alongside roads, buildings, and retaining walls where a conventional tail swing machine cannot operate safely.
The defining feature of this machine is the Hitachi factory fitted sliding arm. This is not an aftermarket retrofit. The sliding mechanism was engineered and installed at the Hitachi factory as part of the original machine specification. The inner arm section telescopes hydraulically, providing an additional 1.5 metres of reach without repositioning the machine.
