The Toyota Corona was a staple of the 1970s Australian automotive landscape, built with the engineering integrity that defined Toyota during this era. This 1976 example in factory golden yellow is a genuine survivor with documented history.
Photos confirm the original golden yellow paint across all panels with significant age-related fading, oxidation, and chalking. The paint has lost most of its gloss and appears dull throughout. The body appears structurally sound with no major collision damage visible in the side profile. The engine bay shows surface rust and corrosion on the firewall and inner guards, particularly on the right-hand inner guard/strut tower area. The carburetted 18R inline-four is present with an electric thermo-fan visible, indicating prior cooling system modification. A modern replacement battery is fitted.
