Description

The 2017 Royal Australian Mint "Possum Magic" limited edition coin collection, based on the beloved Australian children's picture book by Mem Fox with illustrations by Julie Vivas. This is an official RAM issue celebrating one of the best-selling children's books ever published in Australia.



The set contains eight coins in a presentation folder: three coloured $2 coins depicting Hush the possum's invisible journey around Australia (with scenes in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and other cities), four limited edition $1 coins depicting favourite illustrations from the book, and one limited edition 1 cent coin designed by Julie Vivas. All coins are aluminium-bronze ($2 and $1) and bronze (1c) struck to uncirculated standard.



The folder is illustrated with Vivas' original artwork and sealed in its original clear shrink-wrap. No tears, creasing, or damage visible. A "Limited Edition" red banner appears on the front cover. The back of the folder provides coin specifications including mass, diameter, and composition. An excellent, as-issued example of this popular children's book tie-in set.
