Description

The official Royal Australian Mint 2020 AC/DC Volume 01 Seven-Coin Collection - one of the most sought-after popular culture numismatic releases in recent years. This set celebrates Australia's greatest rock band with seven coloured uncirculated 50-cent coins, each bearing artwork inspired by a classic AC/DC album.



The outer box is designed to replicate a rock band road case (flight case), complete with black body, silver metallic corner reinforcements, edge trim, and rivets, the iconic AC/DC lightning bolt logo on the front, and "VOLUME.01 - SEVEN-COIN COLLECTION" placard. Inside, each coin is housed in a miniature album-sleeve card replicating the original album cover, with the coin sitting in a vinyl-record-shaped holder - an inspired design touch.



Albums represented: High Voltage (1975), T.N.T. (1975), Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap (1976), Back in Black (1980), For Those About to Rock We Salute You (1981), Ballbreaker (1995), and an AC/DC branded Power Up era design. All coins carry the standard Elizabeth II obverse and are struck to uncirculated standard with full-colour reverse designs.



The box shows only very minor surface marks from light handling. All seven album-sleeve cards appear intact with vibrant colours. Coins are sealed in their vinyl-record holders and appear untouched. A complete, well-preserved example of this popular set. Strong collector and gift appeal for both AC/DC fans and numismatists.
