Description
Hitachi's ZX225USLC-5B is the benchmark 22.5 tonne zero-swing excavator for confined civil, infrastructure, and urban work across Australia. The short tail swing and compact footprint let it operate in tight spaces where conventional machines cannot, while the 122kW Isuzu engine and HIOS IV hydraulic system deliver the dig force and cycle times of a full-size 20 tonner.
This particular machine is Tier 1 specification, meaning it runs a clean, simple engine package without DPF, SCR, or DEF systems. No regen cycles, no diesel exhaust fluid, no emissions-related downtime. For operators working in remote areas or on long shifts, this is a significant advantage in both reliability and running costs. Presented in very good condition. The machine has been freshly serviced and pressure washed for sale. The cab interior is clean with minimal seat wear, all glass is intact, and the air conditioning is operational (set to auto at 18 degrees when photographed). The monitor shows 6,488.5 hours with no fault codes or warning lights displayed, running in ECO mode at idle.
The undercarriage has just had new idlers and sprockets fitted, with assembly paint marks still visible on the bolts. Track links retain good bushing height, and the triple grouser shoes are in serviceable condition. Track sag and tension are correct. This fresh UC work represents significant recent investment and extends the working life of the undercarriage substantially.
The machine is fitted with mine spec safety compliance including yellow safety handrails around the upper structure, fire extinguisher, rotating beacons (green and amber), and all required safety stickers.
