Description

Issued by the Royal Australian Mint in 2019 to honour fallen police officers through the annual Police Remembrance Day. The reverse features a seven-pointed Commonwealth Star with laurel branches and a St Edward's Crown, centred on a blue and white checkerboard ring (Sillitoe tartan), the internationally recognised police pattern. The inscriptions read "TWO DOLLARS" above and "POLICE / REMEMBRANCE" below. The blue and white colour printing is applied via pad printing to the standard aluminium-bronze coin. The obverse shows the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Queen Elizabeth II with "ELIZABETH II / AUSTRALIA 2019". Coin is in uncirculated condition with full colour and lustre intact, presented loose without original packaging.
