Description

A privately produced commemorative medallion honouring Diana, Princess of Wales (1961-1997). The obverse features a full-colour photographic portrait of Princess Diana wearing the Cambridge Lover's Knot tiara, surrounded by the inscriptions "THE PEOPLE'S PRINCESS" above and "THE LAST ROSE OF ENGLAND" below. The reverse carries a gold-relief engraved bust portrait of Diana with "PRINCESS OF WALES" above, birth year "1961" and death year "1997" flanking the portrait, and her name "Diana" in cursive script below. The gold plating is bright and uniform throughout, with no visible wear or damage. The colour portrait is crisp and well-applied. Condition is uncirculated.
