This exclusive release from The Whisky Club features the Maritime Malt expression, distilled in 2010 and matured in hand-selected American oak ex-bourbon barrels before bottling in 2021. The whisky presents a soft gold colour with delightful sweet green apple, dried fruit, chocolate and Christmas pudding notes on the nose. The palate reveals rich butterscotch and delicate oak spices followed by waxy fruitiness, with creamy vanilla and rich salted caramel undertones. The finish is long and warm with vanilla creaminess and a rich salted caramel accent. Bottled at cask strength, this represents a serious 59% ABV expression.
