This premium expression represents Starward's signature whisky matured in fresh and charred red wine barrels, finished in Australian Tawny fortified wine casks. Bottled at 48% ABV, non-chill filtered, with natural colour. The whisky displays a brick red hue with tasting notes of tropical fruit, dense fruit, black cherries, vanilla, and toasty oak on the nose. The palate is full-bodied and generous with toasted malt, toffee apple, fresh blackberries, and sun-dried raisins. Finish features summer fruits, sweet spiced oak with rich Christmas cake characteristics. Presented in original packaging with The Whisky Club presentation box and accompanying tasting notes from December 2021.
