Description
The CraftMaster CDP-16F is a proper industrial-grade floor-standing pedestal drill press built with heavy cast iron construction throughout. Manufactured in Taiwan in October 1984, this machine was built to a standard that many modern budget drill presses simply cannot match. The 3/4 HP motor drives through a stepped-pulley belt system to deliver 16 selectable speeds from 160 RPM (for large hole boring) right up to 3,030 RPM (for small precision drilling), giving you genuine versatility across materials and bit sizes.
From the photos, the machine is structurally complete with the cast iron head, round work table with radial slots, and rectangular pedestal base all present and intact. The data plate is fully legible confirming all specifications. The three-handle quill feed and start/stop controls are in place. The 16mm keyed chuck is fitted to the spindle. The machine shows its 40 years of age with notable surface rust on the column and table surfaces, and general paint wear throughout. However, the castings appear sound with no visible cracks, and the core mechanics look complete.
