Description
The VW Beetle needs no introduction, but this one demands a second look. What started as a 1971 Super Bug convertible has been transformed into a Porsche-inspired wide-body restomod that turns heads from every angle. The build draws heavily from 911 styling cues, with dramatically flared front and rear fenders, a rear-mounted whale-tail spoiler straight out of the 930 Turbo playbook, staggered-width alloy wheels with low-profile tyres, lowered suspension, and a "Carrera" script badge on the rear quarter. The result is a Beetle with genuine presence and an aggressive stance that standard examples simply cannot match.
The engine bay houses a built 1.6-litre air-cooled flat-four fitted with dual Weber or Dellorto-style side-draft carburettors on individual chrome pod air filters, an aftermarket aluminium crankshaft pulley, fuel pressure regulator with gauge, and performance ignition. The interior has been upgraded with a SAAS three-spoke sport steering wheel, diamond plate (chequer plate) aluminium dash inserts, a push-button engine start, aftermarket stereo, and reupholstered seats in textured black vinyl.
