The FG XR8 Ute was the last of the genuinely angry V8 performance utes produced in Australia, and this example has been built far past stock specification. The vendor reports the 5.4-litre Boss V8 has been fitted with a Harrop 2300 TVS supercharger, custom twin stainless steel exhaust, headers, billet timing gears and chains, high-volume oil pump and fuel pump, with the engine build carried out by Western Auto Mechanical in Brisbane. The vendor advises approximately 1,000km have been driven since the build, a custom engine bay respray was completed, and the setup produces 560 rear-wheel horsepower. A Kayhan Android touchscreen has been installed in place of the factory ICC unit. These are vendor claims that have not been independently verified.



What photos confirm: the Harrop TVS supercharger is clearly visible and branded on the 5.4-litre V8, and a large-diameter aftermarket cold-air intake with cone pod filter is fitted. The Silhouette black paint is in excellent cosmetic condition with no visible dents, rust, or panel damage across all surfaces. The factory XR8 sport seats with red mesh inserts and embroidered XR logos are in very good condition throughout. The dual-zone climate control is retained. Cruise control buttons are present on the steering wheel. The ute sits on 20-inch gloss black aftermarket alloy wheels with Kumho Ecsta PS71 performance rubber (255/35 ZR19 96Y), red-painted brake calipers, and is noticeably lowered on aftermarket suspension. A hard black tonneau cover and black tubular sports bar are fitted. Dark tinted windows with weather shields, a chrome tow ball, and a dash cam are also present. The tray interior is clean with a factory Ford tub liner in good condition.



Standard unmodified FG XR8 utes currently retail in the $15,000 to $22,000 range. The vendor has documented significant investment in the build; the market will determine value on auction day.
