The HB-series Mazda 929 was the brand's executive sedan offering through the early-to-mid 1980s, a rear-wheel-drive Japanese grand saloon that sold in Australia from 1981 through 1987. This is a final-year build, manufactured in Japan in November 1986 and Australian-complied in March 1987. The 929 2.0i is the fuel-injected automatic variant, rear-wheel drive, with the 2.0-litre FE four-cylinder petrol motor. White exterior, five-seat hard-top body, factory alloys.
The body is straight overall with no obvious collision damage and the panels present reasonably well from a distance. All four factory alloy wheels are fitted and tyred. The rear seat bench is in clean condition. A key is present with the vehicle. The engine bay is complete with all major components in situ. An aftermarket Sony head unit has been installed in the centre dash. Service documentation is in the car. Dual exhaust outlets present.
This vehicle has not started in over 6 months and is sold as a project non-runner. Surface rust is present on the rear door apertures and lower sills, at the boot lip gutter, on the lower rear quarter panels on both sides consistent with decades of Australian climate exposure, and on the engine bay inner fenders.
