Description
The Tiguan 132 Pacific is a well-specified variant of VW's popular compact SUV. AWD, 2.0 TSI turbo, cruise control, alloy wheels, tow bar fitted. This one was written off in Queensland in November 2024 following a front right offset impact and is being sold as a repairable write-off project on the WOVR.
From the photos, the damage is confined entirely to the front end. The bonnet is buckled and deformed, requires replacement. The front bumper is severely damaged on the right side and partially detached. The right front guard is crumpled at the leading edge. The front grille is gone. The right headlight is destroyed. The radiator and condenser are exposed and will need inspection. The important news: no airbag deployment is visible. The steering wheel airbag and dash appear intact. Left side and rear of this car are completely undamaged. All four doors, the tailgate, all glass, the interior, and the wheels and tyres are untouched. The interior looks clean and intact through the windows.
At $3,850 to $5,750 price guide, the question for buyers is simple: can you repair the front end for less than that over and above what you pay today? No airbag deployment keeps the cost equation sane. The critical unknown is the right front chassis rail condition. That needs to be checked in person.
