1994 Savage Envoy Fibreglass Runabout + Johnson 140hp 2-Stroke + Trailer - 162 Hours - Project/Non-Runner
Thirty-year-old Savage Envoy deep-V fibreglass runabout with a Johnson 140HP two-stroke outboard showing 162 hours on the clock. Vendor advises no battery was present and the motor could not be started. Engine working condition is unknown. Presented honestly as a project or restorer opportunity. Sold unreserved.
Hull
1994 Savage Envoy. Approximately 5.1m LOA. GRP fibreglass, white with cream/tan accent stripe. Moderate-V hull form typical of the Savage Envoy runabout series. Gelcoat yellowed and oxidised throughout, consistent with age. No major structural cracks or impact damage visible on the hull shell. Transom shows rust staining around motor mount bolt holes. Transom integrity should be checked manually by the buyer prior to bidding.
Motor
Johnson 140HP V4 2-stroke outboard. 162 hours on the engine hour meter, confirmed from photograph (bezel corroded, reading legible). Vendor advises no battery was present at time of cataloguing and the motor could not be started. Engine working condition is unknown. Motor cowling has a broken/missing rear section exposing the powerhead. Tilt/trim mechanism and transom bracket show surface corrosion. Stainless steel 3-blade propeller fitted, heavily oxidised with no obvious major blade damage. OMC side-mount throttle/shift control fitted at helm.
Electronics and Instruments
Engine hour meter (162 hours). Aqua Meter mechanical speedometer (MPH). OMC LCD tachometer (display non-functional). Flush-mount marine compass. 6-gang rocker switch panel (depth sounder, anchor light, navigation lamps labelled; 3 positions unlabelled). No fishfinder or chartplotter unit confirmed present.
Trailer
Unknown make, single axle, galvanised steel frame. Approximately 4.6m x 2.0m. Manual cable winch. 7-pin flat connector (corroded). 50mm ball coupling (heavily rusted, locking function not confirmed operational). Jockey wheel post present, no wheel attached. Leaf spring suspension with severe corrosion on U-bolts, spring packs, and axle components. Deestone D-100 tyres, aged sidewalls with some tread remaining. Starboard hub cap missing. Trailer lights fitted. Vendor advises trailer chassis number is unknown and a compliance plate will be required before the trailer can be registered. ATM unknown.
Interior and Deck
Cockpit floor in poor condition. Original carpet removed. Fibreglass and plywood substrate exposed with delamination and moisture damage visible. Two aftermarket pedestal seats (Seamanship brand), one grey and one white/red vinyl, functional but basic. Steering wheel UV-cracked. Loose wiring visible under dash. Wraparound acrylic windscreen intact. Bow deck non-skid surface present and largely intact. Aluminium ski/grab arch fitted behind windscreen.
Safety
No safety equipment confirmed at time of cataloguing. Buyers to verify compliance requirements for their intended use and operating area.
