The MGF is one of those underrated British sports cars that tends to fly under the radar in Australia, and that is mostly to its benefit. Mid-engine, rear-wheel drive, two seats, manual gearbox, and a leather interior. It replaced the MGB as Rover's sporting flagship and used the K-Series 1.8 in a transverse mid-mount configuration behind the seats. Handling is genuinely fun and the platform has a strong following through specialist suppliers.
This one is honestly presented. The paint is the headline issue, with extensive clear coat failure concentrated on the bonnet, where delamination covers the majority of the surface. The rest of the body holds together better, the panels are straight with no obvious collision damage or major dents, and the soft top is structurally intact, though it shows the usual age-related fading and discolouration. The alloy wheels are the correct factory items and retain their shape, though they show mild oxidation consistent with age. Interior includes leather seating and an owner's manual.
The vendor has flagged cooling system concerns and recommends checking coolant levels before running. This is a well-known issue with the K-Series engine in the MGF.
