Overview

A high-domed oval tanzanite cabochon at 13.55ct sits at the centre of this statement cocktail ring in 14ct yellow gold. The stone measures 14.14mm x 11.86mm with a dome height of 8.25mm, a substantial three-dimensional presence on the finger. The purplish-blue colour is vivid in natural light, and the cabochon cut allows the trichroism of tanzanite to shift freely between blue and violet depending on light source and viewing angle. The stone shows minor eye-visible inclusions typical of cabochon tanzanite at this carat weight.



The tanzanite is double-claw set with stylised split-tip prongs in yellow gold and is surrounded by a halo of 32 round brilliant-cut diamonds (0.65ct total) bead-set in white gold with milgrain detailing along both edges. Shoulder diamonds continue down both sides of the low half-round band in matching white gold bead settings. The underside features a decorative scroll and openwork filigree basket gallery in yellow gold.
