Overview

A substantial dress ring centred on a 5.11ct pear-shaped ruby in medium orangey-red, measuring 14.7mm x 10.1mm. At over five carats, the stone has a commanding presence on the hand. The yellow gold mount uses three claw prongs to hold the ruby, surrounded by a fitted single halo of 35 round brilliant-cut diamonds (0.63ct total, VS1-VS2, H-I colour) set in white metal for colour contrast. Diamond-set shoulders continue the sparkle down both sides of the narrow flat shank. The open-back gallery beneath the stone features a decorative cut-out lattice in yellow gold that allows light through the pavilion while adding a refined aesthetic detail.
