14ct White Gold Oval Tanzanite and Diamond Ring - 2.12ct Violetish-Blue Tanzanite, Art Deco Milgrain Navette Head, 14 Diamonds Overview This ring has real design character. The 2.12ct oval tanzanite is bezel set at the centre of an elongated navette (marquise-shaped) head in a pattern of radiating milgrain-edged bars, creating a starburst effect with strong Art Deco revival sensibility. Fourteen round brilliant-cut diamonds (0.50ct total) are set in micro-claw settings at key points across the head, providing bright contrast against the blue-violet of the tanzanite. The openwork construction of the head with geometric cutouts keeps the piece light and airy while the milgrain beading on every edge is crisp and well-executed. The tanzanite shows a medium violetish-blue colour, the most commercially desirable position on the colour spectrum for the species, with lightly included clarity and good transparency. As with all tanzanites, the stone will show different hues under different light sources due to its natural trichroism, shifting between blue, violet, and burgundy tones. Manufacture is noted as cast and hand assembled on the valuation certificate, indicating a higher level of finishing than cast-only construction. Crown Jewellery Valuation issued a retail replacement certificate (No. 3814, August 2025) at AUD $10,870, one of the most recent certificates in this auction. Assessed by Ghazal Ghasemi (F.G.A.A., DG, NCJV Registered Valuer No. N663). Ring presents in very good condition with all stones secure and metalwork clean.
