This is a high-mileage workhorse being sold honestly. The listing flags damage on the boot and general wear and tear throughout, and the photos back that up. The tailgate has taken a moderate hit with a visible crease and deformation in the centre of the panel. That is a panel replacement job, not a quick buff-out. The black paint on the rest of the car is showing its age with oxidation and fading across the roof and horizontal surfaces, which is typical of older black vehicles left in the Australian sun. Headlights are yellowed.
That said, the Subaru EJ25 in the MY04 Forester is a solid engine when maintained, and the Subaru AWD system is proven over hundreds of thousands of kilometres in these cars. The body panels aside from the boot appear straight. Leather interior is a bonus on an old workhorse.
