Description / Overview:
This VL has been put together with a clear direction in mind. The Walkinshaw-style body kit, factory maroon paint and aggressive stance make for a strong-looking package, and the mechanical upgrades back it up - 9-inch rear diff, 3.75 gears, 3,000rpm stall converter and a freshened fuel system mean this car is set up to be driven. Pop-up headlights are a nice touch and the engine bay is tidy with proper boost plumbing.
The interior is all-original Berlina in burgundy velour and is in good condition throughout. Battery has been relocated to the boot. The vendor has disclosed a clunk noise from the back left wheel area under driving conditions - this needs to be investigated and resolved. Buyers should factor that into their assessment and bidding.
Worth noting: this is a Walkinshaw-style replica build on a genuine VL Berlina platform - it is not a factory Walkinshaw conversion. The modifications are well executed and the car presents strongly, but provenance-sensitive buyers should understand what they are buying. Get under it, sort the rear noise, and you have a very presentable piece of turbo VL history.
