About This Vehicle
The Foton TUNLAND is a Chinese-built dual cab ute that found a market niche in Australia as a commercial workhorse. This January 2015-complied P201 variant is powered by the Cummins ISF 2.8-litre 4-cylinder turbo diesel, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission and four-wheel drive. At 85,085km, the powertrain hours are relatively modest for this type of vehicle. However, this example has been used hard in commercial service and the condition reflects that.
The vehicle is a dual cab chassis configuration with an aftermarket steel drop-side tray fitted, including a steel mesh headboard/bulkhead guard. An aftermarket alloy/aluminium bull bar replaces the factory front bumper. Black side steps/running boards are fitted to both sides. A towbar with receiver hitch is fitted at the rear.
Exterior Condition
The driver's front door has significant impact damage. The lower portion of the door skin has a large crease and buckle running across it, with the trailing edge of the door bent and pushed outward. This deformation has caused a wide, uneven gap between the door and the fender and is the cause of the disclosed door closure fault. Paint has cracked and chipped along the deformation line with early surface rust forming at the damaged area.
The front right fender/guard has significant crumpling and deformation at its lower front corner, consistent with a frontal impact on that side. The bull bar shows weathering and surface oxidation consistent with its age and use. The passenger door exterior handle is broken as disclosed.
The aftermarket steel tray is in poor cosmetic condition with extensive surface rust throughout all visible surfaces including the side panels, top rails, corners, hinges, headboard frame, and tailgate. The tray floor appears structurally present but the tray will require significant rust treatment or replacement for presentable use. The undercarriage also shows widespread surface rust and corrosion across the rear differential housing, chassis rails, cross-members, and tow hitch receiver.
Interior Condition
Leather/leatherette seating with moderate to heavy wear and soiling throughout. Rear seat bases show significant discolouration and staining from commercial use. Floors are dirty with debris. Dashboard is intact with no major cracks. Steering wheel shows use. An aftermarket conical pod air filter has been fitted to the engine bay in place of the factory air box.
The owner's manual is present in the vehicle but is heavily soiled and water-damaged.
