Description

This is a genuine time capsule of 1990s film culture. The collection covers the decade from early Aussie drama through to mid-2000s action, with the majority of titles sitting squarely in the Hollywood golden era of the early-to-mid 1990s. The breadth is impressive: Oscar winners, blockbusters, cult independents, Australian productions, music promos, and novelty posters are all represented. Many carry the distinctive Australian classification stamps (G, PG, M15+) that identify them as genuine domestic release material, which has specific collector interest for Australian buyers.

Non-film items include a vintage Harley-Davidson Fat Boy motorcycle pinup, a Levi's 501 for Women advertisement, a Looney Tunes Taz Devil Rules novelty poster, and a Heavy Metal magazine fantasy art print.


Condition across the collection is variable, as is expected of a lot of this type and age. A number of items are in good to very good shape: Junior, Sister Act, One Tough Bastard, Unforgiven, The Firm, Mickey Blue Eyes, In the Army Now, Robin Hood (1991), The Power of One, Quiz Show, The Swan Princess, and the Taz Devil Rules poster all present well with minimal wear. Others show fold lines, creasing, and surface wear typical of posters that have been displayed and stored over 20 to 30 years. The Disney Blank Check poster appears to carry a hand-applied signature in ink on the lower portion, though this has not been verified or attributed.

* Several posters have fold lines from prior storage as folded one-sheets. This is standard for theatrical posters of this era.
