Description / Overview:
This is one of those cars that makes you stop and look twice. The LC Torana SL left the Port Adelaide dealership in 1971 and has been kept in a condition that most 55-year-old Holdens can only dream about. The Bronze metallic paint carries genuine gloss and depth across all panels, the body is straight without a dent or crease, and every SL badge is exactly where it should be, from the grille logo to the C-pillar scripts to the boot lid script.
The real story is inside. The sandalwood/tan square-quilted vinyl on the seats is supple and split-free, the dashboard pad has no cracks whatsoever, the headliner is tight with no sag, and the factory AM radio is still in the dash. An original two-spoke Holden steering wheel, factory window winders, column-shift automatic, and correct tan loop-pile carpet round out an interior that belongs in a museum. The body stamp LC 27052 A matches the listing chassis number, the compliance plate is original, and the Port Adelaide dealer provenance sticker is intact in the boot.
Four spare steel wheels are included, one of which retains the correct Holden dog-dish hubcap. The current gold mesh aftermarket alloys suit the car well but the factory look is achievable with the spare set. A period venetian blind sits in the rear window. Boot floor shows some rust staining that warrants an underbody check, but the overall package here is well above average for the money.
