1961 GMC Pickup – Project
The early 1960s pickups from GMC were designed as tough workhorses, built to last and ready for anything from farm duties to cross-country hauling. Over time, their rugged styling and utilitarian appeal have made them highly desirable classics, sought after both for restoration and for custom builds.
This 1961 GMC single cab pickup is offered as a non-running project, with much of the groundwork already started. Power comes from a 350ci V8 with upgraded cam, paired with an automatic transmission. It features front disc brakes, a new wiring harness, new airbags, fresh dash gauges, a new steering column and wheel, and a new rubber kit, with many parts ready for installation. The truck has also received a recent repaint.
It is, however, incomplete, with missing parts including the tray tub floor, loose panels, missing wheel nuts, and minor damage noted. Offered in left-hand drive, this project provides an exciting opportunity to complete a desirable GMC pickup to your own style and vision.
