1973 Holden HQ Panel Van
This HQ Panel Van has been transformed into a truly unique custom build, blending Holden’s classic styling with Statesman underpinnings and modern performance upgrades. The shell was treated to a full rotisserie restoration, with floor pans replaced using Statesman pans and the chassis retaining its HQ Statesman plenum chambers. The untouched original tags confirm its authenticity as a HQ Statesman chassis.
The van is QLD mod-plated and previously held full registration, now being offered for sale unregistered.
Mechanical & Performance
Power comes from a late-model Vortex Roller 350ci V8 with a mild cam, Holley carburettor, stainless extractors and twin-flow exhaust. A Turbo 400 automatic handles transmission duties, while rack and pinion steering with drop spindles and an electric steering pump provide responsive handling. Braking is managed by a four-wheel disc brake system for confident stopping power.
Interior & Comfort
Inside, the HQ has been upgraded with HZ Statesman SLE dash and trim, electric windows and fully electric air-conditioning. For touring practicality, it features a long-range rear fuel tank and a custom pull-out bed frame with integrated storage, making it as functional as it is stylish.
Cosmetic Presentation
Following its bare-metal respray, the Panel Van shines in Lime Metallic Green, complemented by Simmons wheels measuring 10-inch at the rear and 8-inch at the front. Both front and rear suspension have been completely overhauled, ensuring the van not only looks stunning but drives superbly as well.
