The high quality Malvasia Nera grape from the Salento zone in Puglia gives the producer, Zolla, the opportunity to make a spectacularly smooth, rich and deeply concentrated inky dark red wine. The flavour and colour of the skins have been extracted by long slow maceration. This is a wine to savour with grilled vegetables such aubergines, peppers, tomatoes or zucchini or when in season, delicious grilled Scottish spring lamb.
