The marque MV Agusta needs no introduction, being still one of the world's most respected makers of performance motorcycles, with remarkable success in competition over many years, with riders such as Provini, Surtees, Hailwood and Agostini to name a few.

This 1959 machine is a Turismo America and replaced the OHC 175 CS, (which included the sought after 'Disco Volante' or flying saucer) made from 1953 to 1958, with a pushrod engine and known as the AB model, (possibly standing for 'albero in blocca' or cam in block).

Visually similar to the earlier model, this series has frame numbers beginning with 920xxx and about 6000 were made until around 1961.

Acquired locally several years ago and carefully restored to original specification, it has been in storage since. Not currently running due to no spark.
