Description/extras: Up for auction is a slice of early-‘60s American motoring history—this 1962 Chevrolet Chevy II Nova 300, finished in its original and striking Honduras Maroon. A beautifully preserved four-door sedan with seating for five, this example stands out for its condition and careful and tasteful upgrades that enhance the classic aesthetic without losing authenticity.

With just 24,679 miles on the odometer—believed to be original—this Chevy II represents a rare opportunity to own a nearly untouched icon from Chevrolet’s post-war compact lineup. Introduced in 1962, the Chevy II was designed to be simple, reliable, and accessible, and this Nova 300 model perfectly embodies those qualities while offering a few modern enhancements for improved enjoyment and usability.

Under the hood lies the original 194 cubic inch (3.2l) inline 6-cylinder engine, paired to a 2-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. The engine remains naturally aspirated and gasoline-powered, just as it left the factory. It starts and runs smoothly, reflecting the car’s well-kept life and consistent maintenance history.

This car was initially purchased from a classic dealership in North Carolina—AutoBarn—and came from the first and original owner. At the time, it had no upgrades and retained its fully stock configuration. Since then, the vehicle has been thoughtfully modified with aftermarket touches, adding flair and functionality.

It now rides on an upgraded air-ride suspension setup, featuring 3/8-inch lines, eight fast valves, and a 4-gallon air tank for quick adjustability and comfort. The suspension system gives the car a dramatic stance and is ideal for showing and cruising.

A set of titanium scrap blocks adds a bit of custom street style, while a custom flow exhaust system, crafted by Phreakshow Customs, gives the car a more aggressive tone without overwhelming the classic inline-six charm.

While it currently sits on its original steel wheels with factory-style hubcaps, the sale will also include a period-style set of 13-inch wire rims—ideal if the next owner wishes to lean further into the car’s retro lowrider personality.

The cabin is remarkably preserved with an immaculate interior that retains 95% of its original components. The upholstery, door panels, and dashboard show minimal wear and reflect a car that’s been lovingly cared for and garage-kept throughout its life.

Adding to its modern usability, the car has been fitted with new halo headlights, improving visibility for night driving. A retro-look Bluetooth-capable radio system has been installed, blending classic style with contemporary convenience.

A battery capacitor has also been installed to support the upgraded electrical components, helping regulate voltage and improve the longevity of the electronic systems.

The paint is original Honduras Maroon and has been preserved beautifully over time. It still presents a smooth shine, and the sale includes a spare can of matching paint should the next owner wish to touch up minor blemishes in the future.

The body is straight and solid, with no signs of rust or structural issues—an impressive feat for a vehicle over 60 years old. Chrome trim, bumpers, and badging all appear original and in excellent condition.

Mechanically, the car runs and drives as it should. A minor transmission oil leak may require attention, but it does not impact drivability or performance in its current state.

All servicing and upgrades have been professionally handled by “The Car Doctor Auto” in Orem, Utah. The car has been garage-kept and driven sparingly, ensuring it remains in top cosmetic and mechanical condition.

Whether you're a classic car enthusiast, a lowrider aficionado, or someone seeking a unique Americana, this 1962 Chevy II Nova 300 perfectly balances originality and modern style.

Rare to find in such well-preserved and lightly upgraded condition, this Nova 300 is a turn-key cruiser with charm, presence, and serious collector potential.

VENDOR ADVISES: There is a slight transmission oil leak.
