Description

The Sol Invictus Mercury is an Australian-designed café-racer built on the Qingqi XF230 platform, imported and complied locally by Sol Invictus Motorcycles Pty Ltd. It is a distinctive-looking learner-approved (LAMS) bike with a classic teardrop tank, flat bench seat, round headlight, and retro styling. This particular example was complied in February 2016 and shows 6,209km on the odometer.



The bike is being sold as non-start and should be treated as a project or parts-only purchase. Photos clearly show: heavy rust and corrosion on the exhaust header pipe and muffler along its full length, corrosion on engine mounting hardware and bolts, surface rust on the front fork stanchions, and surface rust on the disc brake rotors consistent with extended storage. Side panels are scratched on both sides. The fuel tank has surface scratches but no dents. The seat is in reasonable condition with no tears. The overall frame geometry appears correct with no obvious accident damage. Note: Sol Invictus has publicly stated that Mercury MK1 OEM parts have been discontinued and stock is very limited. Buyers sourcing parts should be aware they may need to source Qingqi XF230-compatible generic parts.



At current bidding this is priced in the parts/project range, which is consistent with the condition. Running Sol Invictus Mercury examples in fair condition have been listed at $1,500 to $2,500 privately. The right buyer who can get this running again or strip it for café-racer parts will find value here.
