Sea Jay fibreglass centre console with a jet drive outboard, on a 2005 Gold Coast Trailers single-axle. Selling as a project package. Vendor advises the motor will not start and there is no fuel tank fitted.
Hull and Construction
1990 Sea Jay 4.3 Barra Boat. 4.3m fibreglass centre console. White gelcoat hull with moulded strakes. Manufactured by Sea Jay Boats, Bundaberg QLD. Maximum rated 50hp, capacity 3 persons on smooth water, maximum load 405kg (per compliance plate). Hull shows weathering and gelcoat oxidation consistent with age. No obvious structural cracks or osmosis blistering visible in photos. Queensland registration CDE14Q currently displayed on hull.
Motor and Drive
Johnson 40hp outboard with jet drive lower unit (no conventional propeller). Outboard Marine Corporation (USA). Model BJ40TLETF. The jet drive configuration is suited to shallow water and snag-country fishing where a standard propeller would be at risk. Vendor advises motor will not start and there is no fuel tank currently fitted. Hours unknown. Motor cowling shows typical age-related oxidation but is intact. Jet drive lower unit shows paint loss and light surface corrosion on the aluminium housing, consistent with years of use.
Deck and Cockpit
Dark grey marine carpet throughout, worn but largely intact. Two seat pedestal mounts fitted (no seats). Forward casting deck with white tubular bow rail framework. Hatches port and starboard coamings. Console is a simple white fibreglass unit with steering wheel and throttle/shift control present. Console face is stripped bare, no gauges or electronics currently fitted. Aft deck with transom step.
Trailer
2005 Gold Coast Trailers single-axle roller trailer. ATM 1000kg. Tare 250kg. 13-inch tyres (13x5 rims, 450kPa). Hand-crank winch. Galvanised steel frame with typical surface corrosion consistent with age and saltwater/estuarine use. Coupling shows heavy surface rust. Rollers in serviceable condition. Trailer registration status not confirmed, buyers to verify.

* Motor will not start. Cause not diagnosed. No mechanical warranty offered.
* No fuel tank currently fitted. Tank mounting area is present in the hull.
* Hull gelcoat is weathered and oxidised consistent with a 35-year-old vessel. No structural damage visible.
