Stonegate trailers are a well-known quantity in Queensland and this 8-year-old example shows the build quality holds up well for the long term. The hot-dip galvanised chassis and body panels are largely intact, the cage sides are all present and properly seated, and the ladder rack roof frame is straight and secure. This is the kind of working trailer that parks at a job site every week and keeps going.
The tray is 2470mm by 1530mm with a checker plate floor, rated to 750kg ATM with a 330kg tare weight. The removable galvanised mesh cage sides and matching rear gate sit in stake pockets on all four sides and can be dropped out in a few minutes for flatbed use. The ladder rack roof frame above adds a further load tier, useful for long materials like pipe, timber, or racks. An aluminium five-bar checker plate toolbox is mounted on the drawbar forward of the tray for small gear, straps, and chains. * Coupling head and safety chains show heavy surface rust. Recommend inspection before towing.
* Fasteners (bolts, hinge pins, wing nuts) throughout the trailer show moderate to heavy surface rust, consistent with age and outdoor use. Main galvanised body and cage panels remain structurally sound.
* Floor has surface rust staining and dried mud residue in areas. No holes or perforations visible.
* Tyres show age-related sidewall weathering. Right-side tyre tread is lower than left. Both appear serviceable but should be checked before extended road use.
* Aluminium toolbox exterior shows cosmetic oxidation (dark/light two-tone finish). No structural damage.
