The 2022 GCV White Hut Riesling is sourced exclusively from the Gaelic Cemetery Vineyard located in the White Hut subregion of the Clare Valley.

This third release is arguably our best, showcasing the unique characteristics of the White Hut terroir.

GCV White Hut is named after a small sub region of the Clare Valley located just North of the Clare Township. With a high altitude of over 400m above sea level, consisting of undulating valleys and hills the region is well known for producing grapes of the highest quality. Enjoyable in its youth but carefully cellared will continue to evolve over the next 10 years.

Tasting Notes
The colour is a very youthful pale straw / green. Smelling this wine gives you a sense of place and variety immediately with florals, lemons, and citrus blossom aromatics. The palate is elegant, restrained rather than overtly fruity with a chalk like minerality leading to a wonderful fresh long finish. A perfect drink for a summer's night now or with careful cellaring well into the future.
