1952 GMC Pick-Up - Two-Tone Maroon and Cream - LHD - Thriftmaster Inline-Six - Show-Quality Restoration

1952 GMC Advance Design single cab stepside, left-hand drive, rear-wheel drive, Chevrolet Thriftmaster inline-six petrol, 4-speed manual floor-shift, 81,125 miles indicated. Unregistered, import approval paperwork included.

Description / Overview:

This GMC presents at show level. The two-tone maroon and cream combination works perfectly on the Advance Design body, with deep gloss paint, chrome GMC dome hubcaps and wide whitewalls that put it right back in 1952. The chrome tubular grille guard out front is a period-correct accessory that suits the truck like it was specified from the factory.

Pop the hood and you have the Thriftmaster inline-six sitting complete with the blue valve cover and gold script intact. The engine bay is working-restoration grade, honest and tidy, with an oil bath air cleaner, orange oil filter canister and dual air horns on the firewall. Nothing missing, nothing out of place.

The stepside bed is the real showpiece. Timber plank floor with polished chrome strips, varnished wood stake rails and a custom wooden toolbox built into the cab wall. The wood is in excellent condition and the whole assembly looks like it belongs on a show podium.

Inside, the tan pleated vinyl bench seat presents like new. The cream painted dashboard matches the exterior trim and both the combination gauge cluster and speedometer read clearly. There is a period GMC AM radio in the dash for looks, and someone has tucked an aftermarket stereo inside the glove box for when you actually want music. Good thinking.

This one is not yet registered in Australia but import approval paperwork is included and a VIN has been allocated. Budget for compliance and registration, then put it on a show floor. It is absolutely ready for one.

Price Guide: $28,000 - $40,000

Restored Advance Design GMC and Chevrolet pickups in this condition typically trade between $28,000 and $40,000 in the Australian market. The left-hand drive configuration and unregistered status will narrow the buyer pool slightly, but the presentation quality and period-correct accessories work strongly in its favour. Import-ready trucks with paperwork included save buyers thousands in sourcing costs.
